Denton Town 3 Droylsden 0 (U12's)

Dead pleased with this result girls, you deserved it for the hard work you have put in recently. As you know I wasn't there, so over to Rick with is match report. Kendall got mom from them I believe.

NIGEL.

Amy's army marched on to their second consecutive victory with a dominant victory over basement team Droylsden. In all fairness had it not been for a string of saves from the opposition goalkeeper and had we taken a higher percentage of our opportunities then this could have easily been a more emphatic scoreline. Nevertheless this was yet another impressive performance from the under 12s.

Lauren led the way with two brilliantly executed strikes and she proved to be a constant menace to the Droylden team through-out this contest. Her first was a superbly struck effort from the edge of the area which fizzed through the crowded penalty area and nestled in the far corner and she rounded off the win minutes from time with a neat finish following Kendall's long throw-in.

Earlier Grace, playing with her usual high consistency, opened the scoring when she capitalised on good approach play by Kay. Last week she lit up the contest with an audacious solo effort to defeat Curzon but for all her efforts this week Kay just could not add her name to the score sheet. She struck the post, scooped another close range effort over the bar, and was denied on numerous occasions by the Droylsden keeper but she will have plenty of goals to her
credit over the forthcoming years; of that I am sure!

Georgia deserves a mention for a fantastic mornings work, demonstrating many nice touches. She was another who can count herself extremely unlucky not to have found the net. Again not a bad word can be spoken about any of the player's contributions to this success.

Hannah kept a clean sheet and had clearly worked on her distribution from goal kicks, neither Emily, Kendall nor Teah put a foot wrong in defence and Kylie added to the attacking force with a lively display in the second half.

Let's hope for 3 in a row next weekend ! ! ! P.S. watch match of the day tonight if they've got any sense they'll show my goal for Denton Town men this afternoon - absolute screamer !!!!

Rick
